I have published over 80 journal papers in internationally reputed journals since I joined PolyU in 1993. Journals include Physical Review B, Applied Physics Letters, Journal of Applied Physics, Journal of the American Ceramics Society and Applied Physics A. In most of these publications, I am either the first author or the corresponding author, showing my substantial contribution in these papers.

Being a faculty member in PolyU, one of his/her objectives is to conduct research of an applied nature both for the advancement of knowledge as well as for underpinning teaching, with due emphasis given to support the industrial and economic development of the HK community.  Thus, I look upon consultancy work with local industries as an extension of my research capabilities.  I have been developing high level consultancy activities which can lead to long term partnership with the industrial establishment involved and breed further R&D projects of mutual interest. I seek to establish partnership with local companies to exploit product development based on my research results.
