Prof. Feng Yan
¡¡
Professor
Applied
Physics Department
The Hong
Kong Polytechnic University.
¡¡
INTRODUCTION:
¡¡
Dr Feng
Yan received PhD degree in physics from Nanjing University in 1997. Soon
afterwards, he became an assistant professor and then an associate
professor at Physics Department of Nanjing University. During
that period, he worked on ferroelectric thin films, relaxor ferroelectrics and
C60. From Feb 2001 to Sep 2005, Dr Yan worked at Engineering
Department (Electrical Engineering) of Cambridge University as a Senior
Research Associate being in close collaboration with Seiko Epson
Corporation (Japanese company). In Cambridge, Dr Yan worked on poly-Si TFT,
single-grain TFT, organic TFT and biosensors. After a short stay at Physics
Department of Imperial College London, Dr Yan became a permanent
staff ¾ Higher Research Scientist,
at National Physical Laboratory in UK. His work during this period was
mainly focusing on the fabrication and characterization of organic TFTs. Then
Dr Yan joined Applied Physics Department of The Hong Kong Polytechnic
University as an assistant professor in September 2006.
